Let’s talk about the Skyland project!
When we first met with our clients in early 2019, they told us about their desire to incorporate more deep tones and rich contrast into their home while maintaining a level of comfort and livability appropriate for a growing family; especially a family that loves to host. We spent hours reviewing their saved images and favorite art that inspired them, and after pulling together goals (and introducing some areas to take risks) this amazing family allowed us to take the creative reins and draw up a design plan for their new space.

Phase I of this project included several design adjustments that helped define areas; adding trim to separate the living room from the kitchen, painting the island to bring contrast into the kitchen, adding drop down pendants to ground the kitchen, adding additional sconce lighting to the living room to better unify the mood throughout the home.
Phase II of this project included sourcing new furniture and accent rugs for the homeowner’s living room, dining room, and kitchen. Oftentimes when we are consulting with a client who is hoping to make some big changes to their space, they have already purchased one or two new items that align with their new design goals. For this client, this was the couch. They had an incredible chaise sectional that was comfortable while still modern with its clean, simple lines. We were excited to incorporate this piece into the finished product.
Phase III & IV of this project are underway now! We’ve sourced some beautiful things for the Owner’s Suite and downstairs den that we can’t wait to install in Spring of 2021. We’ll take you along with us, so stay tuned for more of the Skyland project!
